We are looking for a “Product Engineering Manager" located in Kocaeli for our business partner, which is developing technologies and systems in automotive industry.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equal

10+ years of experience in automotive engineering

Experience with Catia V5 & NX. TeamCenter PLM is a plus

Proficient in GD&T and tolerance stack-up calculation

Hands on experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEAs, APQP)

Proficient in MS Office

Experience with mechanical interfaces is preferred (connectors, wire-harnesses, plastic parts, stamped metal parts, glass, die casting, plastic injection, etc.)

Practical experience in engineering of materials is necessary (Polymers, Metals, and Engineered materials)

Advanced knowledge at CAD 

Fluency in English

Strong Leadership skills – External (Customer) and Internal

Ability to manage multiple products and tasks as required to meet demanding customer deadlines

No restriction for travelling and living abroad during project phases

JOB DESCRIPTION

Design and develop products to meet customer requirements and exceed their expectations. 

Lead and coordinate to Product Engineering Team and responsible throughout all phases of product development, leading the DVP&R preparation, successful production launch and through the life of the product including engineering changes and improvements. 

Have an active role in the product evolution and advancement to assure competitive in the global automotive industry.

Manage supporting of the function tasks to Design center which is located in TR and/or different countries all over the world for product design/development at new and existing products 

Lead and Coordinate communication of the Product Engineering, Tooling and Design center 

Responsible for design & developing for exterior and mirror systems and sub-system parts from concept phase till serial production. 

Manage the total design development while satisfying all functional requirements, regulations and homologation requirements

Co-operate with suppliers and customer to secure production and assembly feasibility of parts. Propose realistic ideas to be further developed in close collaboration with supplier and manufacturing plant

Work together with design team in UK, EU and US to bring in compliance with part design functions

Evaluate supplier or plant requests to tweak the design for ease of manufacturing (e.g. tolerance changes, sequencing)

Coordinate with various departments and manage product with project quality and manufacturing process for new products.

Review designs and perform tests on products and prepare appropriate reports.

Follow-up to Create and maintain bill-of-material for products

Follow-up to Check part and assembly drawings, perform tolerance stack up analysis and implement GD&T on assembly and part drawings as necessary

Interface with other groups such as manufacturing, quality and supply chain to ensure synergy and multifunctional input

Interface with prototype and production manufacturing teams to ensure DFM and DFA, Product BOMs, tolerances, SC’s and CC’s are being met.

Plan design of experiment plan and perform data analysis to achieve maximum effectiveness of trials, outcome data, and analysis

Hands on aptitude with the ability to assemble concept and prototype level parts

Participate in internal and external product application specific meetings

Understand and adhere to program timelines and APQP deliverables

Initiate product design improvement plans
