Assistant Brand Manager

Job describtion

The role of Assistant Brand Manager requires a beauty and cosmetics enthusiast, with experience in managing and building social media platforms and online digital presence. With excellent written skills and a talent for design and photography you will be required to support the development of the social media, PR and marketing strategy for Misbahçe. Through the implementation of the day-to-day content, influencer outreach and collaborations with like-minded companies. You will ensure the growth in following and engagement across all our social channels and brand websites as well as driving sales.

The Assistant Brand Manager, will plan, support and contribute the development and implementation of the Global Skincare Marketing strategies including, but not limited to, portfolio management, innovation pipeline,  product campaigns and go-to-market strategies.

 Reporting to the Brand Manager, Assistant Brand Manager will be a highly collaborative team player with a strong digital mindset, commercially driven and creative, possessing  a strategic mind and have experience in implementing targeted brand campaigns.

Your responsibilities will include market and trend research; written, photographic and video content development for social media, the websites and internal PR; campaign planning and execution; monthly reporting and liaison with the PR agency, blogger/vloggers and the media. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and influence the external voice for Misbahçe.

Misbahçe’s vision: is to create a natural and high performance skincare brand so that people can feel comfortable in their own skin. Knowing each one of them is natural, handmade and did not effect the nature, or animals in any negative way, consumers use Misbahçe products with an ease of mind. Products are never tested on animals and vegan, certified by PETA. They actually contribute to maintain the beautiful nature by planting more trees and plants every day.

Misbahçe is a luxury collection of natural olive oil based skin care products inspired by Aegean country sides, handcrafted with only the finest and freshest ingredients. Family owned Misbahçe was established in February 2012. However the story started before that, in 1997 when the family’s love for nature took a step further than planting trees in their home garden to planting more than 4000 olive saplings in Ayvalik, a region also known as the olive oil capital of Turkey.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate must be creative, hardworking and passionate about the beauty industry. A switched on marketer who understands the brands audience, has a good grasp of popular culture and a strong thirst for knowledge to keep ahead of new social trends and beauty gossip. A motivated and organised self-starter who is equally at ease working within a team. They must have excellent written and verbal communication skills with a digital mind. The role requires a candidate who is highly organised and able to plan and prioritise a busy and varied schedule.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Implement and grow the following and engagement across all the Misbahçe social media channels

· Responsible for the development of all content for the Misbahçe social and digital platforms

· Execute events designed to meet defined objectives.

· Coordinate 360° marketing tools development (brochures, grooming, flyers...) to achieve success of category objectives with sellout objectives.

·  Assist with the implementation and development of the company’s overall marketing strategies and campaigns by developing an understanding of drivers of brand growth identifying key issues and opportunities

 

·  Analyze brand positioning and consumer insights

 

·  Research markets and study the competition

· Create marketing tools, trainings, presentations for sales force

· Write and issue project briefs and other formal communications to move projects forward as needed

 

· Daily, weekly, monthly report to the team to contribute  to the growth of the company

· Manage the Social Media calendar and liaise with the PR agency (to synchronise messaging)

· To support the development of Misbahçe’s voice and personality

· Completion of monthly activity and evaluation reports

· Work with a wide range of media and use content applications for social media

· Contribute ideas and research to the development of new products.

· Manage usage and forecast of promotion materials and monitor monthly gifting budget

· Travel to markets up to 4 times yearly as necessary

 Assist marketing projects

Work closely with the marketing team to roll out Marketing Plans for our e-commerce,  key retailers and pharmacies

Liaise with sales team to gain feedback and ensure marketing tools are used effectively

Be the Brand Guardian, ensuring all customer touch-points are luxury and meet brand guidelines

Evaluate and analyze activation events to make recommendation for continual improvement and feedback to the business

Participate in events

Support Managing Partner in the organization on the workshops.

Support sales team in trunkshows and festivals.

Education and/or Experience

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study, marketing preferred

3  years’ experience, beauty industry preferred

Demonstrated interest in brand strategy, brand marketing and 360 activation/development

Digitally savvy (Active in daily life and highly engaged in social beauty spaces)

Highly creative

Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

Strong understanding of E-commerce

Excellent analytical, data analysis and numerical reasoning skills

Strong technical skills including Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Strong strategic thinker, with developed organizational skills

Ability to foster team work at all levels of the organization

Problem solver who can deal with ambiguity

Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment

Action and result oriented

Collaborative, excellent team player with the ability to nurture strong relationships and gain the respect of members of cross-functional and regional teams

Valid driver’s license, with reliable transportation and ability to drive within the territory

Must be willing to travel
