To support its development, HM.CLAUSE Tohumculuk is looking for a Product Development Manager based in Antalya Turkey.

Job summary:

To lead a team of PD Representatives in order to develop and generate product growth of HM.Clause products within all regions of Turkey.

This position will manage product developers for the specified region, with the objective to develop the products, increase market share of the Business Unit of HM.CLAUSE within the scope of the defined commercial strategy.

Main Missions:

Under the responsibility of the General Manager, the Product Development Manager will realize the following missions:

• Define and supervise actions, goals, and achievements of the team.
• Propose and implement a product development strategy to gain market share and increase profitability of the BU business within the region.
• Direct interface with growers.
• Coordinate and checking of the trials.
• Monitor the product development within the region.
• Propose and control budgets for the territory and team.
• Coordinate the cost policy and strategy for the department.
• Define a production release for the region.
• Coordinate various events within the department:  Product Development Training, Industry & other conventions
• Requires daily travel in a company provided vehicle to visit customers in industry functions and field trials. May require trips outside of the region to attend trial setup, checking, evaluation meetings and registration of the products. Multiple overnight stays throughout the year in the region.  And eventually international trip for field days per year maybe required.
• Organization of the field days in corporation with sales department.
• Can also be asked to do other responsibilities or things, like Catalogue production, Trade Fairs etc..
• On top the need to cooperate with other departments very well to make the progress within designated region and reaching success of the company.

Required Competencies:

• Strategic Planning and Analysis; Ability to initiate and lead the planning and analysis of market data, through constant communication and coordination with research, development, sales teams, in order to evaluate main targets.  Ability to plan actions and analyze results.
• Vegetable production knowledge.  Technical expertise of key vegetable pest and management practices. Product development management skills. Budgeting experience.
• Knowledge of the fresh vegetable market and / or processing market / industry. Especially in the field of tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, melon, squash, pepper, cauliflower product groups to follow and manage in the technical field. Possess crop management technical skills.  Ability to evaluate trials and new variety selections. 
• Good interpersonal skills and integrity.  Ability to work with people of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds.

Qualifications & Experience required:

• Qualifications:Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture required; Master’s level degree desired. Class B driving license and active driving experience.
• Experience: 5 years minimum of experience in Product development, management, and/or related position in an international organization and vegetable seed sector. 
• Technical Skills: English fluency required; Bilingual (English/French) a plus. Good level of computer usage (Outlook, Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Localization: Position located in Antalya. Occasional travels in Turkey and abroad can be required.
